Major Cleanup from Durants to Oistins
On August 27th, our team headed out to tackle the route stretching from Durants to Gibbons Boggs, and down to the bottom of Wilcox towards Oistins along Highway U.
The volume of illegal dumping and roadside litter in these areas continues to be a significant challenge. The stretch from the bottom of Wilcox Hill going towards Oistins was particularly bad, requiring a major effort from the team to clear.
By the end of the session, we successfully removed 15 extra large bags of litter from the environment. In addition to the smaller debris, we also hauled away larger discarded items, including a fridge door and a large bucket.
